Americans, after the World War one tried to explore other nations, and understand their culture. This newspaper was written about the Arabians in the Middle East. The American policy at that time was to make friendships with other nations.
Booker T. Washington was a dominant leader of the African American community, occupied the position of presidency in the Tuskegee Institute of Alabama. Washington called for the black progress in education and preneurship. Also, he made the agreement of "Atlanta Compromise" with the southern whites, that guaranteed education and due process.
The Niagara Movement was founded 1905, an organization for black civil rights. The movement was led by Du Bois, opposed the racial segregation. Even though it was opposed by some African American activists, such as Booker T. Washington.
The Jim Crow Defense was a set of laws that enforce racial segregation. They carried the slogan: "separate but equal". It was enacted immediately after the Reconstructive era to fight the black civil rights.
